20. Juni 2023 – Leo starts in life!
Leo hat nun auch seine Rehabilitationsmaßnahmen prima gemeistert. Es war für seine Familie nicht leicht, ihn immer noch auszubremsen. Leo wollte immer gleich losstarten.
Er hat keine Schmerzen mehr, belastet das operierte Bein zunehmend normal!
Es ist geschafft – vor Leo steht ein aufregendes, glückliches Leben. Unser Dank für diesen großen Erfolg gilt seiner lieben Familie, die für Leo alles getan haben und mit ihm diesen schweren Weg gegangen sind! DANKESCHÖN !
Leo has mastered his rehabilitation. It was not easy for his family to still slow him down. Leo always wanted to start right away.
He is no longer in pain and is increasingly putting normal weight on the operated leg!
It’s done – Leo has an exciting, happy life ahead of him. Our thanks for this great success now goes to his dear family, who did everything for Leo and went the way with him! THANK YOU SO MUCH !

Leo macht tolle Fortschritte. Für seine Familie ist es schwierig, den wilden jungen Burschen zu bremsen. Er möchte natürlich wieder losspringen. In wenigen Tagen startet die Physiotherapie im Unterwasserlaufband.
Leo is making great progress. It is difficult for his family to slow down the wild young Leo. Of course he wants to start jumping again. In a few days the physiotherapy in the underwater treadmill will start.
Unsere liebe Maike von best-for-pets hat Leo ein Genesungspaket geschickt. Vielen, vielen Dank!

1.Tag postoperativ, first day after surgery
Leo, wir freuen uns so sehr, das du alles so gut verkraftest und wegsteckst!

Leo hat die Operation gut überstanden. Er ist seit 2 Stunden wieder zuhause. Natürlich schaut er noch ziemlich betrüppelt aus der Wäsche. Sein „Bruder“ Teddy ist aber ein guter Krankenpfleger.
Es ist doch „nur“ eine Femurkopfresektion durchgeführt wurden. Leo wird sich auf Grund seines jungen Alters schnell erholen und sein junger Körper wird sich auf alles gut einstellen. Durch die physiotherapeutische Nachbehandlung, Bewegungstherapie im Wasser etc. wird sich der Muskelumfang aufbauen und die Beweglichkeit wieder hergestellt.
Leo – du schaffst das, an der Seite deines Frauchens und Teddy.

20. April, 7.30 Uhr
Heute ist Leo`s Operation. Unsere Gedanken sind bei ihm und seiner Familie. Leo bekommt eine Endoprothese. Alle Beteiligten hoffen, das Leo danach ein schmerzfreies Leben, ohne Medikamente leben kann. Besonders auf Leo`s Frauchen kommt wieder eine schwierige Zeit zu. Es sind nicht nur die andauernden Sorgen, um den süßen Schatz, sondern Leo muss für 6 Wochen nach der OP ruhig gehalten werden. Das wird nicht leicht werden – Leo ist ein Wirbelwind.
Sorgen machen uns auch die hohen OP Kosten, die Leo`s liebe Familie selbst tragen muss. Wir haben etwas unterstützt – leider können wir nicht mehr geben.
Zwei Halsbänder liegen schon einmal bereit, gestaltet von Michaela; eine kleine Aufmunterung für Leos Frauchen.
Drückt bitte alle die Daumen für den tapferen Burschen und Leo`s Familie!

Spendenaufruf für Leo`s Operation, Januar 2023
Der kleine Leo hatte sich von seinem schweren Unfall erholt, sein kleiner Körper war zu Kräften gekommen und der Heilungsprozess seiner offenen Wunden war gut vorangekommen. Leo war stabil genug, die lange Reise nach Deutschland anzutreten. Und es war sein grosses Glück – nun die Möglichkeit zu haben, behütet im häuslichen Bereich aufzuwachsen. Ein Leben im Tierheim hätte man ihm nicht zumuten können.
Allen Beteiligten war bewusst, das auf Grund der Schwere seines Autounfalls noch einige medizinische Eingriffe anstehen werden. Allerdings konnte damals niemand sagen, ob und wieviel Operationen auf Grund des Unfalls noch bevorstehen werden.
Leider sind Leo`s Schädigungen am knöchernden Bewegungsapparat sehr hoch. Jetzt, nachdem er gewachsen ist, ist die Schwere seine Unfalls offensichtlich geworden. Sein Becken ist verschoben, seine Hüften dadurch versetzt. Eine Hüftkopfresektion steht bevor, eine Gesamtkorrektur der unteren Extremität. Die Kosten für die Operationen sind sehr hoch. Auf Leo`s Familie kommt eine sehr hohe finanzielle Belastung zu und viele Sorgen um Leo.
Wir möchten Leo`s Familie helfen und bitten deshalb hier um finanzielle Unterstützung. Leo soll ein schmerzfreies, glückliches Leben führen können und seine Familie braucht unsere aller Hilfe!

Leo has survived the surgery well. He is back home since 2 hours. Of course he does not feel happy yet. He does not know what happened. But his „brother“ Teddy is a good nurse.
After all, „only“ a femoral head resection was performed. Leo will recover quickly due to his young age and his young body will adjust well to everything. The physiotherapeutic aftercare, exercise therapy in the water, etc. will build up the muscles and restore mobility.
Leo – you can do it by the side of your mom and Teddy!
We are with you in our thoughts and wish you a speedy recovery!

Update 20. April, 7.30 am
Today is Leo`s surgery. Our thoughts are with him and his family. Leo gets an endoprosthesis. All involved hope that Leo will be able to live a painless life without medication. Especially Leo`s mom is facing a difficult time again. It is not only the worry about the sweet SCHATZI, but Leo must be kept quiet for 6 weeks after the operation. This will not be easy – Leo is a whirlwind.
We are also worried about the high surgery costs, which Leo`s dear family has to bear by themselves. We have supported something – unfortunately we can not give more.
Two collars are already ready, designed by Michaela, to cheer up Leo`s mom.
Please keep your fingers crossed for the brave boy and Leo`s family!
Dear SCHATZI – you can do it!
Dear animal friends of Ari Paws, dear supporters!
Many of you have followed the fate of little Leo over the last year, so many people have sympathized and supported.
Leo was able to travel to Germany at the end of October, where a loving family took him in to give him the chance of a happy life.
Little Leo had recovered from his serious accident, his little body had regained its strength and the healing process of his open wounds had progressed well. Leo was stable enough to start the long journey to Germany. And it was his great fortune – to now have the possibility to grow up sheltered in the home. A life in an animal shelter would have been unacceptable for him.
Everyone involved was aware that due to the severity of his car accident, he would have to undergo several medical interventions. However, at that time no one could say if and how many operations would be necessary due to the accident.
Unfortunately, Leo`s damage to the bony musculoskeletal system is very high. Now, after he has grown, the severity of his accident has become obvious. His pelvis is displaced, his hips are displaced as a result. A femoral head resection is imminent, a total lower extremity correction. The cost of the operations is very high. Leo`s family is facing a very high financial burden and many worries about Leo.
We would like to help Leo`s family and therefore ask for financial support. Leo should be able to live a painless, happy life and his family needs all our help!
