Gestern, am Freitag, den 23.8.24 fand eine Demonstration gegen das Massentöten von Hunden vor dem öffentlichen Tierheim Targu Jiu statt.
Yesterday, Friday 23 August 24, a demonstration was held against the mass killing of dogs at the Targu Jiu public animal shelter.
Ioana und Ruxandra haben sich auf den 4 stündigen Weg gemacht, um dabei zu sein.

In Europa werden in staatlich unterstützen Tötungsstationen gesunde Tiere umgebracht. Ihr Sterben schon vor dem eigentlichen Tod ist qualvoll und grausam. Die Tiere verhungern, verdursten oder ertragen unendlichen Schmerz und Qualen auf Grund der Verletzungen durch das Einfangen, der Haltung in dreckigen Käfigen und dem brutalen Umgang mit ihnen.
In Europe, healthy animals are killed in state-supported killing centres. Their death before the actual death is agonising and cruel. The animals starve to death, die of thirst or endure endless pain and agony due to the injuries caused by being caught, kept in filthy cages and brutally handled.
Mit dem Tod der Tiere lässt sich viel Geld verdienen. Pro Tier, das in einem Killing- Shelter abgegeben wird erhält man € 75. Mit diesen “ Prämien“ fördert man die zunehmende Anzahl professioneller Hundefänger. Auch die Einrichtungen selbst werden staatlich gefördert.
A lot of money can be made from the death of animals. For each animal that is handed in to a killing shelter, the government receives € 75. These ‘bonuses’ are used to subsidise the increasing number of professional dog catchers. The facilities themselves are also subsidised by the state.
Qual, Brutalität, unendliches Leid – und dies Mitten in Europa ! Diese Einrichtungen in Rumänien, Ungarn, Frankreich, Spanien etc. sind reine Offenbahrungen der Rohheit von uns Menschen.
Agony, brutality, endless suffering – and this in the middle of Europe! These facilities in Romania, Hungary, France, Spain etc. are pure revelations of the cruelty of us humans.

Tötungsstationen sind sinnlos. Tötungen verfehlen ihren Zweck.
Killing centres are pointless. Killing does not fulfil its purpose.
Tierschutz basiert auf Kastrationen, um die Strassenhundpopulationen in den Griff zu bekommen.
Animal welfare is based on neutering to get the street dog population under control.
Tötungsstationen sind ein Geschäft mit dem Tod und eine unsägliche Respektlosigkeit gegenüber anderen Lebewesen.
Killing centres are a business with death and an unspeakable lack of respect for other living beings.
Tötungen prägen Generationen – für ein friedliches, respektvolles gemeinsames Leben müssen wir vermitteln, das auch Tiere Gefühle haben, leiden und Schmerz empfinden.
Killing shapes generations – for a peaceful, respectful life together, we must convey that animals also have feelings and experience suffering and pain.

Wir fühlen Ohnmacht, Schmerz, große Traurigkeit. Oft hören wir immer nur aus deutschen Wohnzimmern: „Man kann die Welt nicht retten“. Aber jeder von uns kann sie doch ein Stückchen besser machen?

Ioana und Ruxi kämpfen täglich – ihr Einsatz für die Hunde in ihrem Land ist unermüdlich.

Und ein Bild wie das Folgende, läßt sie noch weinen; vor Dankbarkeit und Ehrfurcht. Ein 84 Jahre alter Mann ist bei bei der Demonstration, bei 41 Grad Außentemperatur.

Am Ende der Demonstration, am Ende des Tages – als Trost für ihren anhaltenden Schmerz, retteten Ioana und Ruxi gestern wenigstens 2 Seelen.
At the end of the demonstration, at the end of the day – as a consolation for their great pain, Ioana and Ruxi saved at least 2 souls yesterday.
Beten wir, das sie ihren Schmerz überwinden.
